Programs and Activities

The Pine Manor Neighborhood Improvement Association was established to strengthen at-risk families in the Pine Manor neighborhood.  The association’s focus is on child abuse prevention, providing valuable resources through referrals for meeting daily needs including, food, housing and services, make available computers to complete job searches, applications for jobs and ACCESS assistance for food stamps and Medicaid, as well as, resume writing assistance.  We do this by maintaining an emergency food bank, and providing referrals for emergency assistance.  We have a  teen outreach program, life skills training, English classes, computer skills, job resources, healthy choices and drug and alcohol abuse prevention, free pregnancy testing and counseling, free pre-school, after-school  and summer camp activities for children right in their own community every weekday except for holidays.  Families with transportation or financial difficulties are able to access services free of charge within walking distance from their home.  Because we are a non-profit agency we depend on grant monies and donations to stay operational.
